Well last night there was a huge rainstorm throughout Port Au Prince and our city and it meant we had no internet. So, no blog post last night, but here is a 2nd time Wednesday night special.
I have been in Haiti 12 weeks. It's seems so crazy. Some days I want to go home, some days I feel on top of the world, and every day I sense the extreme pleasure of God over my life.
More than anything I feel so honored to be a part of what our team is doing. When we were in the DR my friends and I met a pastor who is from California. He and his co-pastors encouraged us with what we are doing in Haiti and also gave us some fresh vision for what we are doing. In many ways what I am doing here in Haiti is not so much the fulfillment of a dream, but rather an accepted invitation that God handed me.
The kicker is I am a part of what would be considered the fulfillment of a dream for many of the people I've walked along side of for years. You know me, I love hotels, not running out of water or electricity. I feel so honored to be a part of our work here, and more honored that I was invited by the living God.
We have news too!!! Melaney is here! She came 2 days ago and it feels like she's always been here. I've had many of you pray for her to complete the journey of gathering a team of people to support her financially and it was completed!!!!! Thank you for praying.
Tomorrow I'm off on a crazy adventure in Port Au Prince that begins at 4am. Pray for peace and wisdom as we try to tackle some things to get us going even more smoothly!
Thank you blog family!
